Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving parents who were devoted to their children. He is the father of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the founders of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father, sharing the gospel of God the world. She is an accomplished gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with a BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While at Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to go into the ministry and to be a servant to the Lord.

He had a small prayer group called "Youth for Christ," which later grew into one of the most well-known organizations of its type on campus. It also served as the basis of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the globe.

The LoveWorld ministry under the direction of Chris, the pastor Chris was an early pioneer in satellite television and Christian TV programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. There are currently LoveWorld television stations available across satellite and cable networks throughout the globe.

Chris Oyakhilome Family Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The ministry operates two healing schools located in South Africa.

The Man of God established NGOs to deliver essential services and provide hope to the needy, poor, and forgotten. COFI is a partnership with five other organizations who have a common goal of raising living standards in some of the most underdeveloped areas.

COFI manages the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations strives to improve the lives of people and health, well-being and overall well-being.
